So, you’re an independent Christian fiction author needing your work to be found. You’ve asked to be included in fiction websites and been rejected because you aren’t published the old-fashioned way. You’ve bought mentions on book sites that draw lots of sales over a couple of days before you fade into oblivion as your book sinks lower and lower on the webpage.
Wouldn’t you like a book search site that always displayed your book on its front page? One where readers could find it with search criteria on any day of the week even three years after it’s posted? One that respects your Independent status because it means you write from your heart and provide a breadth of material not found in traditionally published works?
Well that’s what you can have on the Indie Christian Fiction Search webpage. “Ickfuss” (ICFS) to its friends. What is ICFS? As the homepage states, it is THE place to find Christian fiction written from the heart.
First, as a reader enters the site, she will see “flipcards” of covers of books posted there. By clicking around, the viewer can group these books by genre and release date, or use the search box to show only books with a specific search criteria (ie. pirate, medieval, Viking, PTSD, disability).
Readers can also choose different “views” on the site that will help them scroll easily through book-blurb excerpts, by genre or search criteria, to scan quickly through a lot of material and find the one most interesting to them. No other site has the ability to display this level of book information with this much ease as does Indie Christian Fiction Search. Additionally, there is a website newsletter poised to send out lists of new releases and hot picks to those readers begging for more.
Why wouldn’t you want your work posted on ICFS? I can’t think of a single reason.
So, what does an author do to have his or her work displayed? First, he or she should visit the site, scan through all the pages to make sure this is the right place for his or her material, then submit it using the Author Guidelines. It’s that easy. And FREE! It also helps if authors post on social media when their book is live, and post our home address (http://indiechristianfictionsearch.blogspot.com/ ) on their website.
Share the love.
The more visible ICFS is to readers, the more your work will be as well!
While there, sign up for the newsletter and receive links to new listings, hot picks and author interviews. If you do before October 31, 2014, you will be entered to win a $20 Amazon gift card. The winner will be announced on the ICFS Newsletter page and informed by email November 1, 2014.
